Hiking Kayak
Allaman Nyon
Spectacular route
March 15 to October 30
Start from the peaceful beach of Allaman for a kayak trip along the Vaud shore of Lake Geneva, between nature, heritage and vineyards.
Paddling along the shores, you'll pass through charming villages. At Perroy, you can see the Venoge, the lake's iconic boat. Then you'll reach Rolle, with its picturesque castle and the Île de la Harpe, a picture-perfect setting.
Further on, nature reclaims its territory near Gland, where forests and green spaces stretch between the houses. As you approach Nyon, the majestic Villa known as Napoleon's, surrounded by its large park, comes into view from the lake.
The excursion ends at the Nyon pontoon, very close to the castle, the old town and the lakeside promenade.
Along the way, you can observe local wildlife: swans, herons, tufted ducks, and great crested grebes swim around your kayak. With a bit of luck, you might even spot a beaver or a brightly colored kingfisher.
Over approximately 10 to 12 kilometers, enjoy a unique moment, with the possibility of taking a break for swimming or a picnic in a setting that is both calm and spectacular.
